Many Parents Ask Themselves: "Why Is my Child Always Sick?"

But did you know, that on average, children under the age of two have eight to ten colds a year? Even more if the child has siblings or goes to daycare. Parents may also wonder, what symptoms their little one(s) may have if they are experiencing the common cold. Here are several of them:

  1. Coughing & Sneezing

  2. Fussiness

  3. Mild Fever

  4. Runny Nose/Stuffy Nose

  5. Poor Appetite

    Note: These symptoms typically last for seven to ten days (7-10 Days OK)

"What if It's More Than Just a Cold?"

Here are Serious* Symptoms to Look Out For:

  1. Blue-ish Lips or Blue-ish Nails'=

  2. Rapid Breathing or Exerts Effort to Breathe

  3. Cough or Mucus for Over a Week (7+ Days)

  4. Implies Ear Pain

  5. Fever Over 102 Degrees

"What Will Help My Little One Get Better?"

Here are the DO's:

  1. Consuming Fluids (Hydrating) & Resting

  2. Saline & Suction for Teeny-Tiny Noses

  3. Using a Humidifier*: A pediatric humidifier, especially a cool-mist humidifier, adds moisture to the air, which could help ease congestion, soothe dry skin, and potentially improve sleep for babies and children.

Be Sure That Your Child...

  1. Washes Their Hands,

  2. Distances Themselves From Sick Adults & Care-Takers
